Tests, Results, & Questions

Well, my lab results came back. And I want to be transparent with sharing them in case anyone has similar issues or has ideas about what to do. So here they are:
My thyroid level is normal, which is actually a little disappointing to me because I FEEL like I have all the classic symptoms of hypothyroidism (thin/fragile hair, low energy, weight gain, etc.) But there we have it.

Lipids are a little off so I'm working on the usual things like diet and exercise to help with that as well as taking 4 GMs of fish oil a day.
>P.S. I'm currently doing a weight-lifting program through Beachbody called LIIFT4 and I love it! It's the perfect mix of cardio and lifting and it works great with my schedule, so if you're interested in learning more about it I'd love to tell you more.<

My HbA1c came back normal! Yay! No diabetes!

Metabolic panel looks good so my kidneys and liver are functioning well and that's a relief.

CBC looks baseline for me. My white blood cells have been consistently elevated for almost two years now. We aren't exactly sure why, but we're thinking maybe allergies? I mean, it would make sense considering that I'm allergic to practically everything.

Here's a nice little throwback to my allergy testing in case you don't believe me:

That would also explain why my RDW and eosinophils are elevated.

Now here come the hormones:

Testosterone is normal.
Insulin resistance is good and they usually test that since it could be related to PCOS.
However, my progesterone is very low and my estrogen is virtually nonexistent. It's less than 0.1! I even have a birth control implant in my arm that should be supplying me with some estrogen. We looked that up during my visit and found that it does have estrogen in it so now we're all even more confused as to why my estrogen level is so low. She also said it was weird that the lab only gave her pregnancy references so it's not accurate to compare my results to those ranges. Hmmm.

Maybe it's a fluke? But all of my other test results came back within the normal range so I feel like if something was wrong with the test then we would see weird results with other values. My doctor said she wanted to do some more research and consult a few other people before she started me on medications, and then she called me the next day to schedule a follow-up appointment and tell me she had some ideas. So I'm going back on October 5 to see what I can do and maybe get some answers. Perhaps this abnormal level has something to do with my pseudo tumor and cerebral hypertension?

Until then, I've been trying to work on sticking to a detox diet suggested by my doctor to help with intestinal issues. This includes cutting out carbs and dairy for 4 weeks and then introducing things back in to kind of restart my guts and rebuild all of the good flora. It SUCKS but I'm hoping it will be worth it.

Did you know that even taking antibiotics as a child for ear infections or strep-throat can completely destroy your gastrointestinal system and keep it that way for the rest of your life?! I had no idea. So that's why it sometimes takes a complete overhaul to detox your system and reset it to its "factory settings" haha. I'm taking the fish oil plus 4 capsules of probiotics and enzymes a day along with the diet to work on cleaning it up.

And those are my results. Does anyone else have similar issues? Any advice or ideas? I'm all ears and open to suggestions!
